At Smart Sparks we can pride ourselves upon the ability to offer solutions to many problems which usually fall outside of the scope of your standard electrician. From mobile boosting systems to lighting control we have a wide knowledge base and all our engineers are trained in multiple disciplines.
Through a combination of determination, hard work, a dedicated and committed workforce and a never ending eye for detail Smart Sparks has evolved into a versatile company which can provide custom solutions to industrial, commercial and domestic electrical developments as well as highly technical and unique audio visual installations.
We have offices in the heart of Chiswick and a team of engineers, programmers and administrative staff. We pride ourselves in being able to deliver a technological solution to any problem with high levels of customer service at all times.

Mikkel Sparrevohn
Mikkel was born in Denmark and moved to the UK in 2000 to work as an electrician for a main contractor. He trained in Denmark as an electrical engineer and spent a number of years working within the commercial maritime industry.
When he arrived in the UK he worked as an electrician for a main contractor building high-end residential properties in London. He left that company to set up on his own and has never looked back.

Katie Sparrevohn
Katie joined the company in 2005 and now oversees the financial and administrative side of the business. She has a legal education, although her background lies within the construction industry – working for a main contractor in London for a number of years.

The Smart Sparks!
We currently have a team of 16 engineers, all of which are qualified electricians with different skill bases. As our company offers so many different services all our engineers are also trained in other expertise, such as AV installations, fire/security alarm installations, CCTV installations.
We have a full-time qualified programmer and we are currently training up 2 further engineers to develop our programming department. We are capable of programming Crestron, Cue and AMX systems.
A number of our engineers are also trained to programme light control systems such as Clipsal and Lutron.
Over the time we have gathered a substantial portfolio of projects which we have successfully completed. Our client list now includes some of the most prestigious property developers currently working in London.
Not only do we work for developers, we also work for main contractors, architects, designers and private clients. The majority of our work does tend to be within Central London, especially Notting Hill, Chelsea and Belgravia.

We are NICEIC Registered Contractors – therefore we are inspected on an annual basis to ensure that our work complies with the current regulations. We have 2 NICEIC Qualified Supervisors who are responsible for testing and ensuring all our work complies.
This registration allows us to offer services such as Periodic Testing & Inspection, PAT Testing and basic visual inspections for clients wishing to ascertain the integrity of an installation in a property they may be purchasing.
As an employer we are required to have current Employers Liability and Products Liability insurance. We also have Professional Indemnity insurance. Please click here for a copy.
We have a comprehensive Health & Safety Policy specifically tailored for the work we undertake within our company. Method Statements and Risk Assessments can be provided upon request.
We have a dedicated Small Works Department that focus on callouts and all requests submitted by our property management clients. We understand the need for comprehensive documentation, therefore every invoice is accompanies by a ‘fault report’ sheet which details the faults we have found and the action we have taken to remedy the fault. This makes it easier for the costs to be passed on to the landlord and avoids any possible disputes.
